Rinpoche received his highest Buddhist philosophical education as an Archarya from Karma Sri Nalanda University, Rumtek, Sikkim, India. His special gift of healing within the practice of Tibetan and Chinese medicine and acupuncture has made him easily accessible to anyone who requires his treatment and guidance.
Rinpoche is fluent in Tibetan and Mandarin, understands all the local dialects of Sikkim, and is currently learning English. Rinpoche has been instrumental in managing the overall welfare of Rumtek Monastery, the main seat of H.H. the Seventeenth Gyalwa Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, and the other peripheral Kagyu monasteries in Sikkim.
Rinpoche’s ongoing Dharma projects include…
- The Retreat Centre at Orange, Australia, primarily for three year retreats.
- Establishing the lay community prayer temples (Nyuney Lhakang) in various parts of Sikkim. Five are already under construction.
- Old Aged Home, Tibetan Medicine Healing Centre, and Meditation Centre in Sikkim.
These Dharma projects will facilitate the flourishing activity of the precious Dharma, and also are a humble gesture to serve Rinpoche’s Root Guru, H.H. Seventeenth Gyalwa Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje.
